Known for its enormous portions, this spot wowed Guy with their Captain Crunch French Toast—thick slices of French toast coated in crushed cereal, topped with fresh berries, and served with syrupy perfection. Don’t miss their inventive breakfast burritos and fluffy pancakes while soaking in the quirky atmosphere. Their sister restaurant, Blue Moon Too, is closer to us in the Federal Hill area. Same food, but it doesn’t get as many lines as the original cafe.

R&R Taqueria | 2 E. Lombard St., Baltimore
Spice up your day at R&R Taqueria, where every dish is made from scratch—including salsas made fresh throughout the day, handmade tamales, and tableside guacamole. Chaps Pit Beef | 720 Mapleton Ave., Baltimore
When it comes to Baltimore-style barbecue, Chaps Pit Beef is the real deal. It all started in 1987 as a BBQ shack in the parking lot of a night club. Their Pit Beef Sandwich—a Maryland classic topped with creamy horseradish sauce and onions on a potato roll—is smoky, juicy, and downright delicious.

Grano Pasta Bar | 1031 W. 36th St., Baltimore
Nestled in Baltimore’s eccentric Hampden neighborhood, Grano Pasta Bar serves authentic Italian pasta recipes in a cozy setting. They have a small Italian market right next door where you’ll want to grab some rustic country bread and sliced prosciutto to go.
