Breakfast at Rachael's Dowry
Greet your morning with a two-course gourmet breakfast cooked from scratch with local and seasonal ingredients. Our "foodie" cook was raised in Lancaster's Amish country, so fresh ingredients and healthy portions are standard, but her recipes are not.
A freshly baked starter (muffin, scone, doughnut, bread or biscuit) accompanies a seasonal fruit dish with yogurt or another homemade topping, our own granola, or maybe a surprise. Favorite main dishes include Eggs Rachael (an exceptional benedict variation), maple-cream stuffed french toast with seasonal fruit compotes or gooey homemade caramel pecan sauce, pancake stacks with variations like carrot cake, pumpkin spice or lemon ricotta. And of course enough sides to ensure you won't leave hungry.
We serve excellent locally-roasted Orinoco coffee and a great selection of Harney & Sons fine teas. In the afternoons you can treat yourself to homemade cookies or other delectables, and there's always a tipple of very tasty Brandy in the Library for your evening nightcap.
Breakfast is served from 8-9am in the dining room, and to-go bags are available for those with early meetings. We're happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions (please tell us ahead of time), and specialize in gluten free meals and baked goods that will delight!
